Hair and Fur

Atoms currently supports only Maya xgen hair/fur setup for Arnold and Renderman. There are two Maya tutorial sections: the first one explaining how you can export your xgen setup manually and the second one explaining how this process can be automated.

XGen collections can be bound to only one geo. If you wish to attach fur to more than one geometry please create one collection for each geo.



Dynamic Fur

Atoms supports dynamic fur from version 1.15.0. 

Xgen dynamic set up (hair system, output curves, etc.) will be exported automatically with your variations if you use the variation builder. 

Use the CFX simulation exporter to generate the dynamic curves alembic caches.
