Ada files can be exported with the digital asset exporter: Atoms > Tools > Digital Asset > Exporter

The list on the left will show all the agent groups belonging to your current scene, you can select any of them and press the the arrow button to move them to the right list.
You can then remove any agent group from the right list by selecting them and pressing the bin button.

The exporter requires a destination path to be provided by the user.

In addition users can select to export:

  • Animation: any animation attached to any of the module attributes. Animation curve can only be imported in the same host app. A baked version of the animation curves is also exported within the ada file, so that the animation can also be imported in different host apps.
  • Animated Meshes: the exporter will export any mesh and curve as alembic files. You can specify whether or not you want to export such alembics as animated meshes in case they are deforming.
  • Scene Json: the scene json will be exported.
  • Variation Json:  the variation json will be exported. Please note, this only exports the json and each file referenced by it (meshes, materials, etc.).

Finally, height fields, gravity fields and navigation meshes will also be exported as alembics.

Please note, when baking the animation or alembics this process could become quite slow as the host app might require to iterate through the timeline several times.
The timeline will be iterated through:

  • once for baking the animated attributes
  • once per alembic

  • No labels
