Version 1

To build an animation clip asset, right click on the content browser, then click on Atoms Crowd > Atoms Animation Clip.

Double click on the new animation clip asset.

Give a name to your animation clip (i.e. robotWalk).

Browse to find your clip file. Open the data folder of the AtomsUnreal installation and select the atomsRobot_walk.fbx file.

Most of the GUI options were explained here already.

Currently Unreal does not have a preview widget, if you have Maya or Houdini available you can double check the preview of the clip there.

For this tutorial, we are going to set the following values:

  • Loop Blend = 4
  • Loop Start = 21
  • Loop End = 50
  • Tick the "Loop" option
  • Set the "Direction Type" to static.
  • Set the "Direction" field to (1, 0, 0).

Save your animation clip asset.

Your Animation Clip is now ready to be used.
